This series serves as an exploration of an unconventional way to design for 3d printing. The goal was to intentionally create unsupported bridges during the 3d modeling (CAD) process, so the printer would have to print in midair to create a cool visual effect. This was a project that reminded me how important experimentation is to the creative process.
This download includes 5 different 3d printable models that use the bridge technique to create interesting visual effects. Keep in mind that these models were designed specifically for 0.48mm extrusion widths and 0.2mm layer thickness
and may not work with other settings!
